Discrimination to NRIs on the RTI Act - Delhi HC sends notice to the Government on Pravasi Legal Cell’s PIL On a PIL filed by the Pravasi Legal Cell, the Delhi High Court has issued notice to the government seeking its response on the Non-resident Indians’ (NRIs) eligibility to apply for information under the RTI Act. Shri. Jitendra Singh (MoS) had stated in the Parliament that NRIs were not eligible to seek information under the RTI Act.
