Pravasi Legal Cell is organising a Consultation Meeting on Repatriation of Mortal Remains on 14th December, 2018 from 5.30 pm at Seminar Room, Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, New Delhi.


Chairman, Parliamentary Committee for External Affairs, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MP has kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest at the programme. Justice (Rtd.) Mr. Kurian Joseph (Retired Judge, Supreme Court of India) will grace the occasion and Senior Advocates from the Supreme Court of India and other eminent persons will participate in the Consultation. PLC submits representation before Hon’ble Ministry of Civil Aviation seeking urgent intervention against exorbitant air fares in these Covid-19 pandemic times. Pravasi Legal Cell through its President, Adv. Jose Abraham has submitted a representation before the Ministry of Civil Aviation in the wake of reports that airline companies in particular the national carrier Air Indiais charging exorbitant fares from Indian expatriates for travel in these Covid-19 pandemic times. Pravasi Legal Cell (PLC) decided to submit the representation, after receiving numerous grievances from financially weak Indian Expatriates, who are finding it very difficult to bear the astronomically high travel expenses.
