K. Padmanabhan Memorial RTI Lecture and National Award function

Pravasi Legal Cell's K. Padmanabhan Memorial RTI Lecture and National Award function will be held on 27th January 2019 at the Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi from 4.00 pm.

Justice K G Balakrishnan, former Chief Justice of India, has kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest and to release Right To Information: Key to Open Democracy, a book authored by Advocate Jose Abraham.

The first K. Padmanabhan Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Shri. Wajahat Habibulluah, first Chief Information Commissioner of India.  He will give away the K. Padmanabhan Memorial National Award for RTI activits to Adv. D. B. Binu, President, RTI Kerala Federation.

An Indian nurse is in trouble in Qatar due to the negligence of officials of a major private hospital in Delhi. Mr. Sunu Skaria, who recently got a new job in Qatar was a former employee of Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket from 2008 to 2012. While joining the new office, he submitted the experience certificate that was issued to him by the Hospital along with all other documents. PLC submits representation before Hon’ble Ministry of Civil Aviation seeking urgent intervention against exorbitant air fares in these Covid-19 pandemic times. Pravasi Legal Cell through its President, Adv. Jose Abraham has submitted a representation before the Ministry of Civil Aviation in the wake of reports that airline companies in particular the national carrier Air Indiais charging exorbitant fares from Indian expatriates for travel in these Covid-19 pandemic times. Pravasi Legal Cell (PLC) decided to submit the representation, after receiving numerous grievances from financially weak Indian Expatriates, who are finding it very difficult to bear the astronomically high travel expenses.
